skin food can be magical ..
internal glow
...eating fresh papaya is excellent for your skin due to its rich nutrient profile, which promotes healthy, radiant skin from the inside out.
Here’s why it’s beneficial:
1. rich in glowing skin friendly vitamins
vitamin C:
• papaya is loaded with vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that promotes collagen production.
• it helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging while brightening the skin.
vitamin A:
• supports skin cell turnover, improving texture and reducing acne.
• keeps skin hydrated and prevents dryness.
vitamin E:
• protects the skin from environmental damage and boosts hydration.
2. contains papain (natural enzyme)
• papain is a proteolytic enzyme found in papaya that gently exfoliates dead skin cells, promoting a natural glow.
• reduces inflammation, helping with acne or irritated skin conditions.
3. high antioxidant content
• papaya contains antioxidants like beta-carotene, lycopene, and flavonoids that:
• fight free radicals, reducing oxidative stress and support pro ageing
• help minimise sun damage and pigmentation.
4. improves digestion
• papaya supports gut health by aiding digestion (thanks to papain and dietary fibre).
• healthy gut often translates to clearer skin, as poor digestion can lead to breakouts and dullness.
5. hydrates the skin
• papaya has a high water content, keeping your skin hydrated and plump from within.
6. reduces inflammation
• Its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe conditions like acne, eczema, or redness.
7. detoxifying properties
• papaya’s fibre and enzyme content help flush out toxins from your body, promoting a clearer complexion.
external glow using your fresh papaya peelings!
* use the papaya skin as an express glow mask... [please note not suitable if you have a known latex allergy as papaya may contain small amounts of latex]
* choose a fresh papaya - select a ripe papaya with no signs of decay.
* prepare the peel - wash the papaya thoroughly. After peeling, keep the inner orange side of the skin (the part that touches the flesh) for application.
* cleanse your face - cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser such as F1 cleanse + glow balm or cleanse + glow oil with the cleansing pad, pat it dry.
* rub the papaya peel - gently rub the inner side of the peel onto your face in circular motions, focusing on areas with dullness, dark spots, or uneven tone.
* leave it on - allow the residue from the peel to sit on your face for 5–10 minutes so the enzymes and nutrients can work.
* rinse off - wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. Follow with F4 hydrate + glow serum to lock in hydration.
