I’m David Horne, also known as The Skin Wizard. My journey of over 25 years through the global beauty industry has taught me one thing: true beauty and confidence come from a positive mood, mindset, and healthy, radiant skin. As a Professional Makeup Designer I mastered every skin tone, mastering melanin rich skin and every face became a beauty canvas to express the individual.

I have seen both sides of beauty products from the demands of Professional backstage and on set use to Product Development and Innovation.

My mission is simple - everything that brings you joy, I support. My philosophy is pro ageing. Less tweakments, more nutrition. Mindful skin awareness.

The Back Story: A Journey of Recalibration

In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, I, like many others, found myself reflecting on life’s pace and quality. It was a pivotal moment—an epiphany that led me to recalibrate my life choices. I shifted focus to my passions, simplified my skincare routine, and embraced a more mindful lifestyle. From this journey, The Skin Wizard brand was born.

Below shows some of the personal highlights of my 30+ years career in the global beauty and design industries. From the crumbling of the Berlin wall to returning back to London, I have always followed the Zeitgeist and seem to somehow be ahead of the curve.

I have taught and mentored many of the beauty industry influencers and stars and I am forever proud of their amazing achievements.

I am grateful my career has taken me around the world and from innovation to academic design, and now we all need a more mindful moment of calm.
